About us

More than ever before, today’s domestic and international wine industry demands that its business leaders bring not only practical experience, but also academic and theoretical knowledge to the job. The Weincampus Neustadt was founded in 2009 to prepare the next generation of young professionals in the wine industry.

Since its founding, the Weincampus Neustadt has earned a respected reputation both in Germany and abroad. Our degree programs are distinguished by a combination of real-world experience, academic theory, and research, and our satisfied students enjoy excellent career opportunities after graduation.

This program is made possible by cooperation among three Universities of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Bingen, and Kaiserslautern, as well as the Dienstleistungszentrum Ländlicher Raum (DLR) Rheinpfalz (Rural Service Center of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate), along with over 300 partner companies throughout Germany. Our students enroll and earn their academic degree at the state-accredited University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen am Rhein, which also leads and organizes these cooperative educational programs.

Connecting Research and Real-World Experience with the Classroom

The Weincampus Neustadt is a joint academic department at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Bingen, and Kaiserslautern. The academic department offers the dual-study bachelor degree program “Viticulture and Oenology,” the part-time master’s degree program “MBA Wine, Sustainability, and Sales.” It also conducts research in the fields of viticulture and oenology.

The cooperation among the three Universities of Applied Sciences, the Rural Service Center of Rhineland-Palatinate, and experienced industry partners provide students an education marked by first-class teaching, research, and professional training. Our network of expert partners has the entire the entire chain of value covered – from growing the grapes to producing wine, to the business side of the wine industry and finally, to the consumer – resulting in excellent potential for innovation and opportunities for transfer.
